“Santa Cruz Montessori has helped my children develop into the confident, interested, engaged children they had the potential to become. I see them grow every day.”—SCM Parent
Santa Cruz Montessori balances classes as much as possible by age and gender. These classes serve children from ages 18 months to 15 years, through grade nine. All programs are structured in three-year age spans, except for the Young Children’s Community, which serves children from 18 months through 3 years. Children typically stay in their classes for three years. These mixed-age groups allow a spirit of community and family to grow. The older children experience the joy of helping the younger ones, thereby crystallizing their own knowledge and paving the way for the younger ones to learn and grow. Children have the freedom to work with others who share their interests and level of ability, regardless of age.
